I agree with the comments about the “Rest of the Planet” zone. I think that Apple does a pretty good job of NOT warning iPod buyers in SA that they can’t buy any music from the iTunes store.

Amazon.com may offer DRM-free music, but NOT to SA. I tried buying an album on the weekend and was prevented from doing so. This is just Apartheid all over again.

The same is true of audio books, and book publishers are more out of date than music publishers.

Well done guys! I’ve been looking for a good quality podcast focusing on local happenings!

Well done guys! Can’t wait for each week’s ‘cast. At last some local flavour to a Leo Laporte TWIT style show. One technical comment: the first 2 shows (especially show 1) was a bit on the soft side which resulted in some noise when pushing up the volume. It seems to be better now. I’ve compared the 2nd show to Leo’s TWIT and the audio quality is almost there.
How about some more info on the Multichoice HDTV broadcasts? You guys seem to have some inside info and to know things we don’t hear about in the media. Like will the new PVR have the ability to write to optical media, or are they going to hold the new PVR content in the “safe” like with the current PVR? Surely it’s legal in ZA to write the content to DVD for later personal view since you paid for it?

Great show guys. I enjoy the balanced opinion as opposed to some of the extreme views we see on some of the blogs.

Realy looking forward to next week.

excellent show that has filled an important gap for local tech-lovers! I’m especially pleased that you are able to provide insight into the local telecomms industry.
