ZA Tech Show: Episode 7
All the usual geeks are resident for this episode, in which we discuss:
- A German MP attempting to stop Microsoft from doing business in the EU
- Gartner’s analysis concerning Windows
- The extended OEM period for Windows XP
- Google Apps
- WantItAll
- Podcamp SA
- EMC acquiring Iomega
- Symantec acquiring AppStream
- Adobe Media Player
- The sacking of David Bullard
OK, first of all: great show as always. Second: Bret’s (somewhat) naughty word was bleeped with probably the silliest bleep sound anyone has ever been bleeped with. Gave me quite a giggle - perhaps you could make this another area in which to push the envelope
Oh, and Alex Jay has been saying that on air for years.
Errata: Patty de Lille is, of course, from the ID, not the DA.

Hi… great podcasts, I’ve enjoyed them all. Just a question, why the delay in updating iTunes?
[...] are some good observations on the Bullard affair by the guys hosting ZA Tech Show — a fairly new, very informative, and at times highly entertaining South African [...]
erm… if Brett can’t say s***, how can Simon say a***hole?
You ask if we dont mind the “cussing”
Well not one bit!!
This is a casual show over beers and thats how i hope you guys keep it.
Its this casual aspect that contributes to the shows uniqueness and sucsess.
Great stuff!
Thanx
Mitch
Once again another excellent podcast. I enjoyed your insights on the Bullard story, as well as the tech stuff.
Go for it, guys!
Okes, the fact that David Bullard got sacked and that idiot Jon Qwelani gets to keep his job despite all the racist and nauseating drivel that he puts out just doesn’t sit well with me. Not that I’m protecting Bullard - I think he’s an arrogant git, but why has nobody made the same amount of noise about Qwelani’s libelous behaviour?
WRT swearing - that bleep was hilarious! Nice one Si!
