But where does all that background noise from “logging-in” cell phones come from? Was it part of the recording?
@Asterix_T the Cellphone noise was definitely in the recording!I was using my phone to play the recording and I thought it was my phone….I then rewound the recording and played a bit back and the same bloody noise sounded.
Besides the Cellphone sound the episode was great! I agree that the kindle is just the beginning and that its not worth paying R3000 for a devise that is going to be outdated in a few years.
Thanks for a awesome show, yet again!
Turn off your phones please!!! Otherwise great show as usual although it’s been hard to wait till Tuesday afternoon for it to be posted… Addicted? Me? Well there’s a compliment right there.
Well, I am excited about the Kindle International, but with all the DRM issues & the fact that the international version won’t have a web browser I think a Sony reader would make a lot more sense? (Unless you really, really want to buy books on the device itsself)
And yes, cell phones please..
Next time PLEASE have the cellphones further away from the recording equipment, please?
Thanks for a great show.

Gentlemen, another fine show. John is unquestionably the man to captain the ship in Simon’s absence, he imposes a patina of civility on the group (as evidenced by the lateness of Toby’s F-word, more than twenty minutes in. And he even apologized!).
I think your conversation about the Kindle, though at times chaotic, was very valuable: some techno-savvy guys sharing their views on what they look for and how they like to operate. Kudos!
