I was really surprised that some of you were concerned about “government interference” on the interconnection issue. Sure, that’s a worry overall, but 1) you can’t do much about it, the regulator always blunders in somewhere and you just have to live with that, and 2) this is not one of those areas. Keeping an eye on the reduced rates and making sure they flow through to the consumers is common sense, and every major regulator on earth has done exactly that. It’s not sector meddling, it’s consumer protection, pure and simple- ICASA has that mandate, and it has worked everywhere. There is no need for ongoing regulation or inspection here, just make sure the price-components don’t morph after the rate reductions go in. Make sure the average consumer sees x% reduction on the bill, where x is the reduced interconnection rate you are requiring companies to pay.
Shouldn’t worry about this one, guys.

Hi, it seems the last 2 weeks there is a delay for the podcast to appear in iTunes? I can download it from the site but not from iTunes. Is it just me?
