While listening, I decided to try Bing as well as Google images to look for my need of the moment (elephants), and I was amazed at both the functionality of Bing (with the pop-up info under your cursor) as well as the very different ordering even on a precise search term like “elephant figurine head-on”.
Thanks for the Symposium plug, can’t wait to rejoin the chaos!
>>The fact that it does not automatically revert to bing.co.za when you type in bing.com is a big fail, not a small one.
Explain why please? bing.co.za redirects to bing.com, which is delivered via akamai, so it’s actually serving from local bandwidth.
Excellent show guys, will have to sit and download the other episodes now…Irony is that I have benn looking at all these topics in the last 2 weeks and switched my search options to BING. Well put together and good comprehensive results when searching. I like the side bar with related searches. Good alternative to the Google monster… Take Care Julian
Regarding MMS and thethering, go check out:

Apparently MMS and tethering working 100% after doing this. I have used the settings you guys mentioned and seems to work ok. I have to have 3G signal though (GPRS: message doesn’t go through). Haven’t tried the above, waiting for someone else to try and let us know.
Sorry the correct site is:

And you guys only THOUGHT the Iranian government couldn’t follow what’s going on!

Well done Ben – Who cares!
At least this week you got to say much more than you usually do. Your views and comments are greatly appreciated and refreshing. Not that the others are boring by any means – just try and get more “words in” in future episodes- even if they are “i mean ”
Great show as usual!
Thanx Guys
By the way, does anyone know if the new I phone S/W now supports the Apple Blootooth keyboard – this important fact was not mentioned when you were discussing this !

Bing does not seem to be very thorough (to me). The fact that it does not automatically revert to bing.co.za when you type in bing.com is a big fail, not a small one.
Also, if I Google my own name, I get all the expected results, from Facebook to LinkedIn profiles etc. However, when I search my own name in Bing, I basically get nothing relevant. It does not seem to crawl all sites?
